A decade after the housing bust upended the lives of millions of Americans, more U.S. households are headed by renters than at any point in the last 50 years, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of Census Bureau housing data. Being a renter does not mean you are without options when it comes to providing you and your family with safe and sustainable water filtration systems, especially in apartments.

Typically, renters are hesitant to install more robust filtration systems. Whether it is due to the fear of painstaking and invasive installation, the thought of having to leave the filtration systems behind, or an unfamiliarity with the options available, renters often put themselves at a disadvantage when looking for a proper water filtration solution.

Water Pitcher with Affinity Filtration Technology:

The filtered water pitcher is our standout solution for clean water. The compact pitcher works for everyone and fits anywhere – whether you keep it on the counter or in your fridge, you can be sure that you’ll always have clean water on hand. 

The pitcher works just like standard water pitchers on the market, but it is the only one that can filter out up to 99.99% of 365+ contaminants including PFAS, lead, and fluoride. 

Each pitcher is made with 100% BPA/BPS-free medical-grade Tritan® plastic and has a capacity of 80 ounces. The pitcher filter lasts up to 100 gallons before it needs to be replaced; generally speaking, that’s every 4 months for the average person. 

Keep in mind that the filter’s lifespan, for the pitcher as well as all our other systems, is dependent on the quality of the initial unfiltered water and the total usage, which includes the number of people per household and how the water is actually being used (e.g., drinking, cooking, showering, watering plants, etc.). 

3-Stage Under the Sink System:

While it is the most robust system out of the Clearly Filtered product suite, the compact 3-stage system is much simpler than you would assume. You are not required to mount the system, but a hanging bracket is included should you choose to do so. 

One of the major differences between our system and other brands is that there is no need to install a separate spigot for the filtered water. 

The under the sink filter lasts between 9-15 months depending on usage. Replacing the filters is quick and easy – simply unscrew the old filters and swap in the new ones. The system has a one-way valve that closes when it senses the filters being taken out that keeps everything dry without having to turn off your water supply.  This quote from one of our customers really speaks to the ease of the installation process:

Filtered Water Bottles:

Filtered water bottles are the easiest way to get clean water – both inside and outside of the home. 

Filters are attached to the end of a straw so every time you take a sip, the water has to go through the filtration media. Regardless of the water source, it will be instantly filtered as you're drinking.

You can choose from a selection of double-walled insulated stainless steel bottles, Tritan plastic bottles, and ultra-durable glass bottles to pair with our bottle filters so you can always have clean and safe water at your fingertips.

Each bottle filter has a lifespan of 25 gallons. If you fill up your bottle once a day, then the filter should be replaced every 3-4 months. If you fill your bottle twice per day, then the filter should be replaced every 1-2 months. 

Filtered water bottles allow you to take advanced filtration with you anywhere you go.

Universal Inline Fridge Filter

Our fridge filters are intentionally designed to connect to your water line rather than where a traditional fridge filter would fit. There are so many different refrigerators and filters on the market, we wanted to create a filter that could be used with any appliance. As an added bonus, using our fridge filters won’t void the warranty on your refrigerator since it will not be plugged into the appliance itself. 

Our fridge filters should be changed approximately once a year and the replacement process is simple – used filters can be unplugged and replaced in minutes. The one-way lock valves make installation simple, and the filter easily tucks away behind your fridge.

While the fridge filters are a great solution for homeowners and renters alike, please note that moving the fridge and attaching things to the water line should be approved by the landlord prior to installation.
